(Sr. Planner/Economist) - Economic and Transportation Modeling

EDR Group welcomes Chandler Duncan as a Senior Planner and Economist. Mr. Duncan brings over twelve years of experience in transportation planning, economic forecasting and evaluation, modeling, GIS and policy analysis.

Mr. Duncan's experience includes serving as deputy project manager for a statewide system performance forecasting model (for Utah DOT), and developing a national guidebook on programmatic investment strategies for statewide transportation systems. He also helped develop highway economic investment strategies as part of statewide plans for Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire and North Carolina, using asset management and economic requirements software. In addition, he has conducted strategic economic studies and development feasibility evaluations for a variety of local clients.

Prior to joining EDR Group, Mr. Duncan worked at Wilbur Smith Associates in Salt Lake City, and he also worked earlier for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the City of Charlotte, NC and URS/BRW, Inc. His publications include articles for the Transportation Research Board on Strategic Railroad Alliances, Walkable Communities and Econometric Models of Crash Outcomes. He holds a MRP in Economic Development and Transportation Planning from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
