Kyle Schroeckenthaler is a planning and policy analyst at EDR Group, supporting the firm's practice in transit and multi-modal transportation planning and impact analysis. His transit work includes economic impact and benefit analysis studies for a wide range of transit operations across the US, which include analyses of customer surveys, ridership data, employer interviews, and economic anlaysis models.  He has also led neighborhood land and economic development impact studies for bus, light rail, BRT and TOD projects across the US, including work as coauthor of a TCRP study on the topic. In addition, he has worked on analysis of the environmental sustainability impacts of municipal fleet vehicle upgrades, including transit buses, and utilized the National Transit Database to compile information on agency performance for use in analyzing fleet operating cost measures.

Mr. Schroeckenthaler has also conducted a wide range of statistical data and survey analyses for transportation planning.  This includes work analyzing on-board survey data and origin-destination surveys in several cities.  He has also appllied the American Community Survey’s Public Use Microsample datasets to investigate the economic role of transit systems in conveying people to work in several other regions, and used the National Household Transportation Survey to identify differences in the travel behavior of urban and rural residents along multiple dimensions. Mr. Schroeckenthaler is also an experienced user of TREDIS via his consulting work and his role advising TREDIS users. He holds a Master degree in Public Affairs and a BA degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
