Wisconsin Air Cargo And Investment Studies

For Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation, EDR Group (under subcontract to Flight Transportation Associates) Economic Development Research Group developed forecasts of air cargo and passenger volumes by airport within the state.

The role of EDR Group included assessing implications of statewide economic change for the generation of cargo and corporate aviation. In 2004, Economic Development Research Group conducted historical and forecasting analysis of the determinants of airline property investment and valuation in the state, and developed an economic model for assessing the impacts of that investment for current and future statewide aviation tax revenue.

Benefits of Air Transportation Investment in Wisconsin

For the Development Association of Wisconsin (TDA), Economic Development Research Group assisted Cambridge Systematics in its study of the benefits of transportation investment in Wisconsin. The study included both quantitative and qualitative research on how transportation investment affects business efficiency, job creation, economic business growth, tax revenues, safety, and quality of life. The role of EDR Group was to complete the work element dealing with economic benefits of aviation investment in Wisconsin.
