Economic Impact of Ohio River Bridges
For the Indiana Finance Authority, EDR Group performed an analysis of the economic and business strategic impacts of proposed building of two new bridges on the Ohio River in the Louisville area, along with reconstruction of an interchange and interstate ramps. The analysis includes (1) a quantitative regional analysis of the earnings, output and employment implications of building the bridges, (2) an assessment of the regional societal benefits of the bridges for the greater Louisville Region, (3) a descriptive analysis of potential effects on the Indiana business environment in the immediate vicinity of the bridges and (4) a fiscal analysis of the needs associated with development stimulated or attracted by the bridge. The proposed Ohio River Bridges project also calls for inclusion of tolls on two highways.
