Kings County Short-line Rail Freight Study
Under subcontract to Opus International, EDR Group provided an assessment of the economic, operational and business conditions for the Windsor and Hantsport Railway Company (WHRC).
EDR Group's assessment included a review of the strategic position of the WHRC relative to the Canadian Ministry of Transportation's Atlantic Gateway strategy, assessment of proposal for the WHRC to support the proposed Inland Terminal proposals by the Port of Halifax, and a review of alternative business models under which the WHRC might continue to offer services for their Windsor-New Minas operations.
