Corridor K Economic Development and Transportation Study
EDR Group and Wilbur Smith Associates for the Southeast Tennessee Development District, 2008
For the Southeast Tennessee Development District, EDR Group was part of a team with Wilbur Smith Associates to develop an economic and transportation development plan for a highway improvements to a final link in the Appalachian Regional Highway System, Corridor K, between Chattanooga, TN and Asheville, NC. The corridor presents many environmental and economic development challenges because of the Cherokee National Forest and major outdoor tourism centers in the area. EDR Group's principal role in the project was to identify economic opportunities for job growth in regionally targeted industries likely to benefit from completion of the proposed highway corridor.
