World Bank Forum on Economic and Social Development for Cost-Effective Transport Planning

The World Bank, as part of its Transport Knowledge and Learning Forum, convened its economists and planners from around the world to its headquarters in March of 2017 for an instructional forum on “Economic and Social Development and Cost-effective Planning and Design.”

 Speakers at the forum came from Finland, Germany, Denmark and the US.  They included Prof. Antti Talvitie on Benefit-Cost Analysis, Prof. Werner Rothengatter on Transport Policy Packages for Low Carbon Economy), Toni Paju on Social Assessment in Developing Countries, Tiina Perttula on Life-cycle Design and Glen Weisbrod on Transport and Development: Role of Access.
